Hümeyra Öztürk Tenekeci completed her primary and secondary education in Muğla and graduated from Muğla Anatolian High School. She continued her academic journey at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine.

She began her dermatology specialization at SDU (Süleyman Demirel University) in 2000, completing it in 2004. In the same year, she started working at Özel Şifa Hospital in Isparta. In 2005, she continued her work at Malatya State Hospital and Isparta State Hospital, and in December 2005, she was assigned to Denizli Servergazi State Hospital. She served the people of Denizli for nearly 13 years at Denizli Servergazi State Hospital.

Since April 2019, she has been continuing her work at her private practice in Denizli, where she diagnoses and treats skin diseases, as well as providing cosmetic procedures.

She is married to cardiovascular surgeon Dr. M. Cumhur Tenekeci and is a mother of two children.
